IB Biology challenges students to explore the complexity of living systems at multiple levels of organization, from molecules and cells to ecosystems and evolution. The course emphasizes experimental design, data analysis, and critical thinking, preparing students to understand biological concepts, apply them to real-world issues, and develop scientific inquiry skills. Both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL) cover core topics, while HL students also engage with additional extensions that deepen their understanding of advanced biological processes.
